Sr Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst - Scottsdale Roles & ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Business Intelligence Director, the Sr Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for leading the efforts to define requirements and develop solutions for our BI projects.This involves the execution of data analysis, report and dashboard creation, and requirements assessment.S/he will operate as an integral figure in using information to best aid in company growth.Serving as a key liaison between our clients, the business and the development team, s/he will translate business needs into useful data.The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst must work well in a team setting and have excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and can successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups, consultants, and key stakeholders.Candidates should possess the right to work in the United States, Genius Avenue does not sponsor any visa applications for this position.

Key Performance Areas:

Collect and document business requirements using: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, use cases, scenarios, business-process and workflow analysis.Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to understand processes, analyze information needs and define functional requirements.Serve as the conduit between the business unit and the software development team.Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and able to meet project deliverable deadlines.Work independently with users to define concepts.Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.Leads and performs complex analysis in an evolving data environment.Extracts and analyzes data, patterns, and related trends as needed, with the subsequent ability to synthesize the data into information consumable by organization.Provides data extraction, reports, dashboards, analysis and consultation services across organization.Designs, and rolls out Business Intelligence solutions to end users.Ensures high levels of Business Intelligence availability through support functions and in-depth testing.Participates in strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of Business Intelligence software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses.Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems pertain to Business Intelligence solutions.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by his leader.Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, IT, Marketing, or Engineering3+ Years advanced experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or other enterprise business intelligence toolExperience working with Agile development methodology & agile teamsProven technical skills as pertains to Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, and similar disciplines.

Experience with querying SQL databases and working with DAX functionsAlso preferred:
Healthcare experience, particularly from the payer/carrier perspectiveBenefits administration experience - provided by Dice"Business Intelligence", BI, SQL Server, Agile, "Business Analytics", "Data Warehousing", "Data Mining"
